Sometimes, clients request a session and know exactly what they want. Other times, they leave it up to me. When they do know exactly what they want, it is often times very meaningful. This client sent me a picture of her mother and herself, when she was one. With her daughter about to turn one, she wanted very much to re-create this image and asked if could do it. I was honored. Not wanting to risk a teething and just-discovered-walking baby deciding she was d-o-n-e and not getting the shot, we did our re-creation first before moving on to a spring themed session (Stay tuned. Spoiler alert... Bonnets & Bunny ears. I know. You will not want to miss it.) Below is the image my client sent & our 2017 version and few others inspired by it.
This little one was so enamoured with her carnation... and gentle with it too! She teetered around without even a thought to what that crazy lady (ahem, me) with the little black box (ahem, camera) was doing. Sometimes kiddos are curious about my camera. She was content with her flower. So I followed her around until she had had enough of the flower and I.
Do you have a picture you'd like to re-create? I'd love to see it and give it a go!
