This Thanksgiving, I had so much to be thankful for - an uneventful and healthy pregnancy after a three year journey of trying to start a family, a husband who treats me better than I deserve, a thriving business, and a new house in a new state with new friends who have welcomed me into their community with open arms. I have to admit, when I moved to Atlanta... I was a nervous wreck on the inside. I was lonely and scared that my business might not make it in this new-to-me HUGE market with so many players in the game. I was homesick and I didn't know a single person other than my husband. But I put myself out there and to my relief, was immediately embraced by other creatives who I am now proud to call my friends.
When we announced our pregnancy, we received so much support from our friends and family both near and far. My cousin and two best friends since the 6th grade threw me a beautiful baby shower back home in Dallas, Texas. You can see all the pictures from that beautiful day HERE. I was also asked by a dear friend and fellow creative, @BlueGrayGal if she could throw me an Atlanta Baby Shower. TWO BABY SHOWERS? TWICE I was celebrated and surrounded by a room full of strong women. I am the luckiest girl in the world. Below are some snaps of the day!! Thank you so much to everyone who came and those who were there in spirit, it means the world to me! To start, I will bombard you with a million cupcake pictures... because they were all so pretty I couldn't help but photograph them ALL. Llama & Cactus Cupcakes were to match the Llama & Cactus Nursery we are finishing up, and the camera cupcake, because well, you know...
Thanks for stopping by!!
P.S. I've still been getting lots of questions about my plans for maternity leave, read them HERE.
